Adoption Announcement
Personalize It!

Sending an adoption announcement to everyone you know is the best way of telling them about your new family member. It is no different really than sending out a birth announcement when you are welcoming the birth of your child.

There are all sorts of different adoption announcements. Some people make their own because they say it is easier to make them than to find them, especially for older children.

They come with pictures, ribbons, bows or in different languages. They can include the name of the child, the child's birth date, where the child is from, such as what country, the day you met the child and the date the adoption was final. They usually have the adoptive parent's names on it and any siblings.

Prices usually range from two dollars to five dollars a piece, plus shipping and handling.

The best thing about an adoption announcement is that you can make it your own. You can personalize every aspect of it. There are no two announcements alike, just like there are no two children exactly alike.

First you should consider the people that you will be sending the announcements to. This will give you a good idea of what you should include in them. For example, should they be humorous or sentimental.

Next you will choose the appropriate words, the layout and the style. There is nothing more wonderful than having a child to call your own.

Adopting is a wonderful way to have this. Adoptive parents have so much fun exploring and making things just right for their new children. So preparing the announcements should be just that, fun and exciting.

All in all adoption announcements are a fun and traditional way to inform people of your welcoming a new member to your family.
