Just like a pregnant mom has worries before giving birth to her new child, post-adoption jitters do exist too.

The adoption process is long, and daunting even a little frightening. There are often than not, more unexpected hurdles to get over than one could ever anticipate.

It is so different than for an expecting couple. For a pregnant couple, there are no parenting courses that are required, you don’t have to prove that you are emotionally and physically stable, or that you have a clean bill of health.

A background check is not necessary, you don’t need lawyers, agencies or social workers to approve you. Nor are biological parents required to answer personal things about their history and present life.

Let's face it, the process of adoption is daunting and scary. As adoptive parents we could always use the support of others in the same situation while embarking on the adoption journey.
